My formulas and function include various operators including sines, cosines (“sinusoidal”) as well as exponentials and polynomials. This generates unpredictable results that often display non-linearity and randomness but nevertheless mostly lead to interesting structures and patterns which are exactly the types of features that I’m after. The sine and cosine functions generate generally wavy and swirly features.
